Judy Pryor-Ramirez is ​the ​newly appointed Executive Director of the Elma Lewis Center for Civic Engagement, Learning, & Research at Emerson College. Previously, she was the Director of Civic Engagement ​& Social Justice at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School in New York City where she oversaw programs for students, faculty, alumni, and community partners, and ​taught part-time in sociology. Judy is a scholarly and community advisor for ​ ​Crossing Borders, Bridging Generations​, ​a public humanities project of the Brooklyn Historical Society. She holds a M.A. in Sociology and Education from Teachers College Columbia University and B.A. in Communication Studies from George Mason University.

People can talk to me about developing and sustaining community partnerships, designing and assessing community-based learning courses, and training faculty in community-based and engaged pedagogies.
