Shauna began working in the Scott/Ross Center for Community Service in 2011 as is now the Service Learning Specialist, helping to grow the Service Learning program at Simmons College. Previously Shauna worked in several non-profits in Boston including The Freedom House, MYTOWN, YMCA Achievers and the Youth Worker’s Alliance. Her experience in Higher Education also includes academic and social support for students of color and first-generation college students at Clark University. She has a Bachelor’s degree in African American studies from UMass Amherst, a Master’s in Gender/Cultural Studies and Communication Management from Simmons College.

Her passion for building bridges spans youth work, community development, organizing and engagement.
